This workshop will connect the research about educators’ data use with real-life examples from teachers, school leaders, and division administrators. Participants will learn and share strategies about the use of data to identify at-risk students and continually monitor their progress. The workshop will focus on: (1) steps that school leaders can take to build teachers’ knowledge and skills in using data, (2) why both the central office and school leaders are essential for creating and sustaining a culture that supports effective data use, and (3) where you are in the process of developing knowledge and experience using data in your division and supporting data use in your schools. Please attend in teams of division and school leadership!
