Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify a problem of practice in their schools or classrooms; for instance:
    • Students have trouble justifying their mathematical thinking.
    • Students don’t know how to evaluate information on social media.
    • Students find history boring and irrelevant.
  • Study the problem to determine possible solutions.
  • Develop an action plan to implement a solution.
  • Systematically study the impact of the plan on the problem of practice.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is appropriate for Virginia teachers at any grade level who have a passion for using research and data to improve their classroom practice.
