REL Appalachia is administered by CNA, a nonprofit research and analysis organization located in Arlington, Virginia.
At CNA we analyze and solve problems by getting as close as possible to the people, the data – and the problems themselves – in order to find the clear, credible answers government leaders need to choose the best course of action. We apply our practice to a broad range of security, defense, and public interest issues including education, energy/water/climate, and air traffic management.
CNA has operated REL Appalachia for the last 9 years. REL Appalachia is one of several projects conducted under CNA Education, a division of CNA’s Institute for Public Research.
Since 1998, CNA Education has helped policymakers and practitioners improve the quality of public education by providing critical decisionmaking support. Our approach combines objective scientific methods, evidence‐based analysis, on‐the‐ground field experience, and absolute data integrity. We provide a range of services, including applied research, program evaluation, policy analysis, and technical assistance.
